John Byrne once did a story that featured three-or-four robots that combined into a larger one (Transformers style). It was kind of an in-joke, perhaps. I can't remember what story this was from and I can't find images of the pages anywhere. Does anybody else remember this?

Possibly, it’s Incredible Hulk 318. I think the Hulkbusters combined to take on the Hulk.
