The Walker Brothers version is one of my favorite songs ever. We'll see how it comes out here. I do find this album a little odd though, timing wise, as he's preparing to take this E Street Band out for a global tour. I guess we'll see what happens.

I much prefer the Valli version. One of the greatest recordings I've ever heard.

I think it’s perfect for the E Street Band, who can play almost anything.

I’m very interested. Great song choices, but no E Street Band, mainly just Bruce and the producer (Ron Aniello) with string and horn accompaniment. I wonder what volume 2 will have.

I will definitely be getting this. He clearly loves this music and over the years, he's performed similar songs and generally done them well.

Pretty decent version here. Very rare that anyone covers 80s Motown, so it’s a great choice. I wasn’t crazy about the arrangement, but it’s such a cool song I can get used to it.

Gotta say, this album was pretty lame. Sterile production and uninteresting arrangements. Bruce sounds pretty good on most of the songs, but much of it is very forgettable. Basically it’s Bruce and Ron Aniello playing the instruments with accompaniment on vocals, strings and horns. In fact, Bruce only plays guitar on three songs. Definitely not a bad album by any means, but dispensable and not worthy of repeat spins.
