He made 5 good ones in a row (2 being cult classics which made money). Basic instinct though is his best. Sharon Stone and Micheal Douglas were never better. I have the deluxe DVD set with icepick.

Went with Robocop; a great execution on the man or machine science fiction trope. Total Recall was decent, but a little by the numbers. Basic Instinct was a great re-telling of that particular trope, with great performances, but Robocop just felt like his most original and creative work.
I'll spare y'all the Starship Troopers rant at this point; I'm sure it's on the board somewhere already
This is a genuinely tough one...but I'd have to say Robocop is the best just because, at the time, it was so different and so well done. I am a fan of all his movies, though.
