A much better choice than the last selection (it's not very good). They're moving in the right direction on the timeline. I'd love to see some 80s/90s shows with Eric Carr, and 70s shows with the original lineup. But this is kind of why I bought the last one - an investment in the hopes of getting the eras I really want.

Completely boring set list, but this was a great tour and so much fun.

Let’s hope they keep going back in time and give us some tours like Hotter Than Hell, Dynasty, Unmasked, Creatures, Lick it Up and Revenge (the club dates would be cool) and so on.

The sound is pretty good. They lack a little of the polish of the live albums, but no overdubs.

I saw them once and it was this tour. I recall a more varied list though.

Listened to this off the Amazon Music thing (even though my CD arrived a couple hours later). This is easily the best of this series so far. There's a magic that these four guys have that has never been replicated (although I'd say the Carr-Kulick years came close w/sometimes lesser material; and the Carr-Frehley years sounded pretty good live - would have loved to have more that just the Elder from the studio). I'm sure this being from the reunion tour played a part in that as well, but this is so much better than the Virginia Beach show.

I'm curious to see where this series goes next.

Yep, this is darn good. Heavy on the bass, but that's okay. I hope Des Moines is this good.

Maybe it's just me but I would love to get a show from the Rock and Roll Over or Love Gun tour in lesser quality than a newer show that sounds pristine...again, just my take...

I agree, I find the earlier shows more interesting. Every time a new volume in this series is announced I hope it is from the '70s.

I've removed a few posts from the end of this thread which had specific information about the next release in this series (the 1977 Des Moines concert). That info has been moved to the newer thread here:

Yeah, I'd like a R & R Over show. I was going to go but my dad wouldn't let me. He finally let me see them on the Alive II tour in '77. Saw them again in '79. What a let down (Dynasty). Blech.

Several years ago -- probably in the late oughts -- an "official bootleg" was announced of a 1984 show.

Never got released -- I would be interested in hearing some stuff from the varied 80s lineups.

I recorded a King Biscuit show from Nashville, I think it was, in 1984 on the Lick It Up tour.

Still have the cassette.

I’d like that full show, because it was a good one.

I'll bet. I'd love to hear the show where Vinnie Vincent played his solo spot long past the appointed time and Paul Stanley came back onstage and ended it.

I'll never forget watching Gene standing in the wings, arms folded, with an even more sinister stare, as Vinnie went on and on and on at Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles on Creatures tour.
