These are newly remastered, but have no bonus tracks.

Somebody over at the other place said these are the 1998 remasters. I went ahead and bought Shout and it sounds pretty good. Gonna have to pull out old remaster and compare (without stupid waveforms).

Well, the bonus tracks are on Shout, just not listed on either the disc or slipcase.

And I compared it to my 98 remaster and it sounds exactly the same.

These have slipcases? I saw them in a store but they were in a jewel case without a slip. Maybe the slips are U.S. only?

I trust your ears (I don't trust waveforms), but BMG solicited these as newly remastered. The tracklist for each CD had "2021 Remaster" after every song.

I mis-wrote. Cardboard jewel cases.

I don't do waveforms. Well, I did it once to prove a point on an Amazon review for a Twisted Sister live disc that was really brickwalled. Here. That was so distorted that it amazed me that it was released.

They may have been remastered but I can't tell the difference. All the same, it sounds nice.

I'm going to pick up the rest of the series. I only had a double-disc greatest hits, Shout, and my original release of Feelgood.

I had them all on vinyl back in the day. I was never a huge fan of the first album or Theater. Girls was okay. My go-to is always Shout. Great disc. Love the guitar tone Mick had on there.

Run it through the DR meter if you want to know for sure.

Go here-
https://dr.loudness-war.info/
Then click Links at the top of the page.
Skip the paid stuff at the top of the drop-down and just go for the free version listed after that. There is a Windows version and a MacOS version.

Run the two different versions through the meter and if the DR, Peak and RMS values all come out the same, then you know for certain that they are the same masters.

I'm one of those people that bought the 1998 remasters thinking they would replace the original CDs but quickly realized my error and got back all the original CDs. Thought those 98's were brickwalled. Can't imagine what these new ones would be like.

Sounds like an oxymoron
