Description
The collection features songs that were remastered by legendary producer Glyn Johns, who worked closely with McVie on the project. The collection includes a selection of songs from two of her solo albums - 1984's 'Christine McVie' and 2004's 'In The Meantime' - plus two previously unreleased studio recordings including 'Slow Down', which was originally written for the 1985 film American Flyers.

Christine 'Perfect' rarely gets the credit she deserves as a stellar song-writer and singer.
although i usually refer to 'remake' albums as fodder, this has the potential to be worth serious listening;
considering the quality of her own original source material.

(i'm still hoping for a final Fleetwood Mac album - a good one - with Mick, Christine, John, Lindsey & of course, Stevie)

Pre-order link and tracklist are now in the first post.

Several tracks are listed as "remixes" in Rhino's first solicitation, which -- since this was supposed to be an album of all new recordings -- might be Christine's way of referring to a new rendition rather than a literal remix. Awaiting more details.

Okay, Rhino has cleared things up for us. Songbird is a compilation of old solo recordings (two previously unreleased), remastered by the great Glyn Johns. I've put the label's description word-for-word into the first post.

more than just "re-mastering," CM refers to "re-producing" in the liner notes (as taken from the above pic in this thread).
so... perhaps we will indeed get alternate versions of these songs.

Odd collection. Not hits-oriented (No "Got A Hold On Me"?), No Mac, couple of rarities.

BUT...it's got Christine's vocals, so I am in. She's my favorite part of Fleetwood Mac.
