I'm bummed that they won't tour the U.S. one more time, but ... I saw them twice on their last tour, and I think I've seen them eight times overall, so I feel like I got more than my fair share.
Their EP from a year or two ago was marvelous, so this ought to be great as well.

I was lucky to see Midnight Oil many times in the 80s and 90s. I still prefer their early albums from 1978 to 1985. By the late 1980s they developed a more melodic music approach which went against their amazing live performances. Just watch a live performance from 1983 for example. Peter Garrett went off!! The 2 songs here continues the style I'm not fussed with. However it is still better than what else is coming out

I know that Midnight Oil have publicly announced that the tour that they have just started will be their last. They did not indicate that they were done with recording, though. So looking forward to this album (but it may not be their FINAL album).
