I am so glad I didn't get The Later Years box. I prefer having these deluxe editions of the albums.
The way it works for is this: if you don't buy this (The Later Years), none of this content will come out on its own. But now that you did, we'll release just about everything in it.

I know. I would be a little peeved if I bought it because they claimed the material was exclusive to the box. Frankly, no for profit company should ever claim that, as they should be willing to keep putting the material out as long as they have a demand.

I shouldn't be complaining but for those of us who shelled out the big bucks, this is a slap in the face. Before taxes, I paid $341.33 for the box.
That said, I wouldn't be pissed if only certain items from the box came out. At this point, just about everything has.
Make me wonder who else in this forum did the same as me.

I bought the big box too but got an IMWAN discount because I bought one of Jay’s extras so the hit wasn’t too bad for me. I’m a collector of the groups I love so it doesn’t bother me that I have it and enjoyed for the past 2 years.
But for those who were willing to wait or didn’t have the $$$ back then, this is a good thing.

I stand corrected on my whining.
Over at Hoffman, someone did a break down of the cost of the big box vs all the piecemeal releases from it. Turns out the box set was the cheaper route if one bought all the individual releases separately. But this is all releases. Not everyone bought everything that has come out since the box.
