I've seen them a few times over the past 35 years and they are great live, they rarely tour together so don't miss them.

I’ve seen them twice and we already got tickets for the Philly show last week.

Garbage are also on the bill which is a huge bonus.

I got tix to Riverbend in Cinci. I'm looking forward to the show. The last time they toured around here, they were playing at Kings Island in Cinci with Lenny Kravitz opening and the show cancelled due to lightning in the area. Hard to believe it took almost 30 years to get another shot at seeing them. Same old BS trying to buy advance tix through Ticketmaster, but that's another story I shouldn't get started on...

yep, ticketmaster really blows, i was looking for tix at blossom music center and well over half the tix were gone already and there were even some re-sells available already....at double the price.

You're being far too kind.

I was able to get my favorite section dead center at Jones Beach. I’ve sat there for years with Jimbo and many others over the years. And Tears For Fears is a must see as they rarely tour. The last time I saw them was at Forest Hills in 2017 (an unusually active year for them) but poor crowd control made us miss a few songs.

Before that the last time I saw them was with Jimbo at the Beacon in NYC on October 28 2004! (The Happy Endings Tour)

I agree. These days if I throw them on I usually reach for Elemental or Raoul And The Kings Of Spain.

“Raoul” is such a hidden gem. Great melodies on that album.
I remember seeing the title track on “Elemental” being used a on an episode of Baywatch.

The song “Break It Down Again” from Elemental was an actual hit on Z100 back in 1993 which always surprised me as that station is usually for any teeny bopper band. It might be the last time a band like that got airplay.

At the time this was the best show I had seen in years. This now sounds like hyperbole, but sitting there it almost felt as if the show was as great and important of an event as seeing the Beatles 25 years prior. They were peaking after the release of the “Sowing The Seeds Of Love” album and the tour featured Oleta Adams which stepped it up a whole nother notch. I was weeping with joy at the end.

And the Debbie Harry set was priceless as she was a reigning queen of punky new wave. One song that I clearly remember her doing which was left off the above setlist was “Rip Her To Shreds” which had my friend Al Lopez losing his mind with glee.

Same here. My TFF collection started with the Tears Roll Down comp, then Elemental & Raoul. I only got the first 3 albums later, so the '90s albums are the ones I feel most connected to.

I like that this clip has dubbed dialog in German. The Hoff is HUGE in Germany.

And Alexandra Paul....just, wow.

Funny. I'm the complete opposite. I play the first 2 frequently, Seeds of Love periodically, and don't think I've played any of the successor albums since they came out.

My introduction to the band was Songs from the Big Chair. But, while Everybody Wants to Rule the World remains evergreen, that album got so much airplay that I tend to gravitate towards the Hurting whenever I'm in the mood to hear the band.

I've said for over 25 years now that there's something right in the universe about Roland Orzabal howling the name "Raoul" at the top of his lungs. It's like his primal scream mantra.

And OMG, is Me & My Big Ideas a gorgeous song.

I had to make sure I didn’t write this. Same experience for me. Not a single bad album in their catalog. Elemental takes the cake for me and I put The Hurting at the bottom of the list. Everything else seems to switch rankings on a regular basis.
