Very sad. One good thing about YouTube, is that it allowed a lot of people to see how funny he was. He wasn't a very competitive guy and he never blew his own horn. Two traits that can hurt your career in Entertainment.
RIP, Norm. A very funny man who never seemed to get his due.
This is one of my favorite bits of his, from a pilot for a Comedy Central series, I believe. I saw it when it aired and never found it again until today.
Thanks, Norm.

This was the first routine I ever saw Norm do, and it still slays me to this day....specifically, the story of the guy that killed his family because the devil told him to (starts at 3:55).
He was from my home town. Oddly enough, I don't know anyone that remembers him. Which is odd because I know people that should have known him and I know people that remember his older brother. A pic from his High School year book. Nice boots.
