For God’s sake…they didn’t even release a best-of until 1999!
That was 30 years into their career.
Since then there’s been exactly three compilations and this would make four.
How does the equal their studio output?????????
You’ll justify your tired arguments somehow.
well, fessing up, i spoke before i typed

somehow i thought they had more comps than they do, so i used wilipedia (not the best, i know) to try to see whether iwas out of line or not. the results are what follows:
by my count they (the phil collins band) have
8 1/4 studio album
4 3/4 live albums
equaling 13 total albums (live/studio) i did not count EP's.
5 live comps
4 2/3 box sets
4 comps (with this new one)
which would be 13 total band (with phil collins) albums live/studio.....vs. 13 2/3 comp total band (with phil collins) comps.....making my original statement a correct one, albeit by 2/3 of an album.
BUT (notice the big BUT)
that is based totally on my interpretation of which genesis is which.
considering your interpretations of bands and mine tend to differ (we needn't go there) i do not know which genesis is which in your eyes. so your version of genesis with phil collins might be different than mine, and do we seem to have a tendency to disagree on such things.
so..........am i close?
