The new box set Mark Knopfler – The Studio Albums 1996-2007 will be released on October 1, for the world ex-US. US release will follow on December 10. The collection commemorates the 25th anniversary of the celebrated singer-songwriter and guitar hero’s debut solo studio release, 1996’s Golden Heart, which is featured among his first five studio albums in his own name, of the nine that he has released in his peerless career. The CDs are housed in wallets with folded double-sided printed inserts.

interesting

i just traded most of these in after i made a CDR of the songs i liked the best. in my opinion, dire straits was THER vehicle for mark knopfler, he shone in that band, vocally, guitar-wise and writing and has not been able to duplicate it on any of his solo records.

that being said, for the right price, this could be a nice purchase. If you you have never his solo stuff
