I liked reading Tin Tin....don't know how well it would translate to the big screen as a live action movie.
Several years ago I saw a fake Tin Tin movie poster ,with Steve McQueen as Tin Tin and Bud Spencer as Capitaine Haddock...I couldn't find it with google.

Edit:whoops...I see itsnot going to be live action, but 3d animation(whatever that is )

The drawings are absolutely fantastic - there is no room for improvement there - and IMHO the stories are not good enough to warrant the big screen treatment by themselves - so what is the point I am asking myself.

In elementary school when I was a kid the library had a lot of Tin Tin and Asterix comics. Those were great. They were always in high demand. I think I have one here right now. I might have forgotten to return it. I'm in for a big fine at some point.

Herge's Tintin books are my favourite graphic novels (to use a high brow term ever. A first heard of a live action movie years ago (was it Cruise as Tintin?)... hugely bad idea. Animated 3D? Might be okay... seems to be in good hands.

However, it won't come close to being as good as the books. It just can't IMO. No way, no how. That said, it might get kids hooked and they might seek out the real stuff.
