LIQUID TENSION EXPERIMENT - Announce New Album to be Released on InsideOutMusic

The biggest music news of the year comes at the very end of 2020 as LIQUID TENSION EXPERIMENT announce their return with a new label and new album. The legendary supergroup comprised of Mike Portnoy (Transatlantic, Sons of Apollo), John Petrucci (Dream Theater), Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater), and Tony Levin (King Crimson, Peter Gabriel) have signed with InsideOutMusic for the release of their 3rd album. The album is set for a Spring 2021 release, 22 years after the bands’ last studio album.

2020 came to a close with LIQUID TENSION EXPERIMENT announcing their return and new album to be released on InsideOutMusic. Today, the legendary supergroup comprised of Mike Portnoy (Transatlantic, Sons of Apollo), John Petrucci (Dream Theater), Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater), and Tony Levin (King Crimson, Peter Gabriel) are pleased to officially announce that the new album ‘LTE3’ will be released on March 26th, 2021 via InsideOutMusic, twenty-two years after the bands’ last studio album.

Did anyone else order this from Amazon? The release date was pushed back from last month to tomorrow due to printing issues with the deluxe edition. I preorderd this and the Tull "A" box set in the same order and only the Tull set is showing a delivery date of tomorrow, while the LTE still says "We will email you when we have an estimated delivery date." Wondering if Amazon is still waiting for its supply to arrive from the distributor.

Still waiting for mine and “A” from Amazon. Though I can now preview it on Apple Music or Youtube Music or Pandora. Yes I have all three.

And may I say this is one of the most colorful threads at IMWAN.

Very true about the colorfulness of this thread. I just got notification from Amazon that my Tull box shipped for delivery tomorrow but no updates on the LTE set.

I had the three preview songs on today while working out at the gym...Hypersonic/ Beating The Odds/ The Passage Of Time and each one is epic. Can’t wait to see these guys next year either on the CTTE 2022 or on tour in the NY area.

It’s really gonna sound good on the big rig when the CD eventually comes.

Earlier today the deluxe edition showed as "backorder" at Amazon, and now it's only available for purchase from 3rd party sellers. And today is release day. Hopefully they get some copies for those of us who preordered it two months ago.

Transatlantic (the other Portnoy group) also had problems with delivery. It will all get sorted out eventually.

Once again I had the new album on today (while walking the dog) and it’s a winner if you like three super musicians jamming to the sonic heavens!

Ha ha your right, I meant 4 great musicians, I was concentrating on Mike, John and Jordan.

My copy of the 2-CD version of LTE 3 arrived yesterday. Strangely, I also got an email from Amazon saying LTE 3 is delayed and they need me to confirm that I still want it.

In a separate email from Amazon yesterday, I was told that Jethro Tull's A was shipped, but running late. A delivery date of today or tomorrow was given.

The 2CD plus 5.1 Blu is in the house. Resembles vinyl packaging more than your usual CD packaging.

That package looks really nice. For some reason my Amazon order, which I placed in February, now shows a delivery date of between May 16 & June 21. It's a good thing I'm not in a rush to get it.
