Love, Glory, Honor & Heart: The Complete Full Moon & Warner Bros. Recordings, 1981-1992 is a 6CD box set. It includes every recording PETER CETERA committed to tape during his time with the Full Moon and Warner Bros. Labels from 1981 through 1992. From 1981 through 1992, PETER CETERA released four solo albums - Peter Cetera (1981), Solitude/Solitaire (1986), One More Story (1988), World Falling Down (1992).

These albums were released during and after his time as a member of the groundbreaking group CHICAGO. This box set contains deluxe editions of each of the four above-mentioned albums. Peter released a total of 16 singles in the 12 year period from 1981 through 1992. These include 'Glory Of Love (Theme From The Karate Kid, Part II)' (US #1, UK #3), a duet with Contemporary Christian Crossover singer AMY GRANT with 'The Next Time I Fall' (US #1, UK #78), 'One Good Woman' (US #4, UK #82), 'Best Of Times' (US #22 Adult Contemporary), 'Restless Heart' (US #35 Hot 100, US #1 Adult Contemporary), his duet with CHAKA KHAN 'Feels Like Heaven' (US #71 Hot 100, US #5 Adult Contemporary), and 'Even A Fool Can See' (US #68 Hot 100, US #3 Adult Contemporary).

This 6CD box set also features other collaborations - 'After All (Love Theme From Chances Are)' (US #6 Hot 100, US #1 Adult Contemporary, UK #84) and 'I Wasn't The One (Who Said Goodbye)' (US #93 Hot 100, US #19 Adult Contemporary) - duets with CHER and ABBA member AGNETHA FÄLTSKOG, respectively. Musicians DAVID GILMOUR (PINK FLOYD), MADONNA, BONNIE RAITT and PAUL ANKA make guest appearances, as well. Among some of the previously unreleased material are remixes of 'Body Language (There In The Dark)' by the legendary SHEP PETTIBONE.

They are available for the first time ever on this box set in four versions - 7" Mix, 7" Remix, 12" Remix and Bonus Beats. The track was originally scheduled to be the second single from Peter's third solo album One More Story. The audio in this collection has been remastered from the original master tapes stored in the Warner Bros. #archives. The box includes a 48-page full colour book featuring photos, an illustrated discography, a complete set of lyrics, and comprehensive credits.

I love Peter Cetera, in and out of Chicago.

Never really thought his solo career would merit a 6 disc box set, though.

I'm a huge Chicago fan. I wouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole.

Neither would I.

His solo stuff is horrendous to me, but I posted it because there are fans out there.

He was an awesome singer and bass player in Chicago.

One of my very favorite bassists actually.

But his solo stuff? Yeech.

His first solo single, "Livin' In The Limelight" was very good, and it rocked. I remember hearing it on my local album rock station when it was released.

That’s the only solo song by him I can stomach.

It was also covered by Blackfoot.

I'll add my voice to the chorus of disapproval. His solo stuff isn't listenable to me.

when his first solo album was released it was not released on CD in the US and was quite expensive on import.

then, i think, wounded bird released it domestically. And it may have been re-released domestically on another label since wounded bird di it.

if i remember right, i got mine (japanese) through thoughtscape sounds way back in the day.

for you youngsters, thoughtscape sounds was a store out of athens, georgia that (usually) had 2 full page ads in goldmine with all kinds of imports that, at that time, were not available domestically yet. not sure when they went under.

Yes, you remember correctly, Renny – Wounded Bird did reissue Peter Cetera on CD in 2004.

Thoughtscape Sounds! I completely forgot about them! I bought many CDs from Thoughtscape back in the day. Remember Red Trumpet? 8-)

This cover. OMG. Awful. Looks like a 99¢ greeting card!

IMO, it's a sloppy re-purposing of the photo from the original "One Good Woman" single picture sleeve:

That’s the only solo song by him I can stomach.

As a David Gilmour collector, I remember picking up a copy of One More Story in a dollar bin to get *this* track.

Never knew Gilmour guested on a Cetera track. Wow.

One More Story features several notable guest stars... Gilmour actually plays on two tracks, Bonnie Raitt plays on one track, and Madonna -- credited as Lulu Smith -- sings backing vocals on "Scheherazade".

A common thread here seems to be producer Patrick Leonard. Leonard co-wrote Pink Floyd's "Yet Another Movie" on A Momentary Lapse of Reason, and Leonard was Madonna's collaborator for a number of years.

Apparently I'm in the minority here regarding his solo career, as I'm a huge & unapologetic fan. Yes he recorded plenty of sappy ballads, but I could listen to that voice sing just about anything. Anyone who overlooks his 1992 album World Falling Down is doing themselves a disservice as I consider it one of the all-time greatest post-breakup albums. His version of the ballad "Have You Ever Been In Love," which closes the album, is incredible (including guitarist Tim Pierce doing his best David Gilmour impression).

I already own all the albums in this set but will still buy it for the bonus material.

No, I'm a fan as well. I really love the World Falling Down album, and the preceding and subsequent albums have some really strong tracks as well. And yes, a lot of schlock as well, admittedly. "Wanna Be There" has a really strong Roy Orbison feel, for me.

But I think Cetera's solo career would be better regarded by "serious" music fans if he didn't have the history with Chicago, if he had only ever been an AC artist. It's just hard for many to reconcile (me too, at times) how a guy could go from being one of the most underrated bass players in one of America's greatest rock bands to "Glory of Love" and duets with Amy Grant and Cher, even if it's pretty close to his late Chicago output.

Interesting viewpoint, as I feel he tried way too hard to disassociate himself from Chicago. When he left the band in 1985 they were immensely popular. But he didn't seem to want to be connected to their musical past even though most of his fans knew about his history with the group. I wonder is some people were put-off by this stance. And he was such a good bass player...why not embrace what he created and contributed to while a member of Chicago? I have all of his solo albums and revisit them frequently.

I don't mean to say I think he would be considered a legend or anything like that, just somewhat more well-regarded than he is now. "Wuss music", one of my college friends called it.

I still dig a lot of it.
