This was originally solicited through the fraudulent Pledge Music in 2018 (no fault of Godley's, he was ripped off too). There will be a legitimate general release on CD, probably in early 2021. That's when we'll update this thread for real.

That song is really good. I can't believe how well his voice has held up. I think the last thing I heard him sing was "Cry". He sounds as good now as he did then. I really wish the original 4 piece 10CC had stayed together.

This has proven to be a fairly pricey and elusive release. Over $26 at amazon and not offered at any of the other usual outlets, like Deep Discount. I plan to buy it but $25+ for a single CD release is a bit high these days.

i highly suggest you listen to it first on spotify, let me just say this, i was definitely underwhelmed, and at $26, i did not buy it.

There's just no pleasing a hippie.
true, god damn long hairs.
i have to say though, i was oh so looking forward to this, graham gouldman's solo albums have been sublime and eric stewart's had their moments.....and lol creme with the producers was, and still might be, my favorite album of the 21st century.
so you can imagine how much i wanted this to be like those, but nope, i have to say, i have listened to it once on spotify and never again, not a single tune stuck with me enough to make me want to hear it again.

As an OCD collector (the type who is meh about the Rolling Stones and yet has bought every damn one of those live sets they've put out the last few years), I'll buy this whether it gets one play or a hundred. I just would prefer not to overpay to satisfy my compulsion. Maybe some disillusioned fan like Renny will dump a used copy somewhere and I can pick it up for around $10 or so.

So, if Renny buys it for $26 but sells it to you for $10, then it only costs him $16, right? That's like 40% off!

Hey, Renny. This one finally showed up on amazon prime (I subscribe to the streaming music service) so I gave it a couple of plays. I see your point. Very little here that I would call catchy, melodic, or even very memorable. The music was angular, vox flat (if occasionally similar to Bowie), and the lyrics largely unappealing. I'm not sure it'll grow on me with repeated plays. I suspect the CD will sit in my amazon cart for quite awhile while I wait for a more reasonable price to surface. Sometimes that pays off, and sometimes the stuff goes out of print and the prices go insane...

This review: https://maximumvolumemusic.com/review-k ... mory-2020/ discusses the creative process behind the making of the album and the writer loved it (9/10). I can appreciate a project coming together without loving the results.
