Fun, frantic and authentic are three good words to describe the music of sparkle*jets u.k. Just when you think happy, feel-good music has to make you either plunge your head into the nearest toilet or reach for the sharpest kitchen knife, along comes SoCal's sparkle*jets u.k.who remind us that it's OK to have fun with your music, to tap your toes to bouncy pop hooks and that one shouldn't take the whole damn thing so seriously. They were flavor of the month among pop stalwarts across the nation, playing knockout shows at crowded clubs and major pop festivals. This reissue of their 2001 album replaces "Real Nice Time" with several additional tracks.

Great album. Original package came with a cleverly placed cocktail umbrella. But why remove "Real Nice Time"?

Liberation Hall is in the process of reworking all of the releases from the power pop label Smile. So far we're getting new editions of CDs by The Sparkle Jets UK (above), The Andersons and Hutch, with more to come.
