This one get me in all the feels. She was 94, and overnight sensation in her 40s, after working in theater for 20 years. A comedian, a dramatic actress and Frau Blucher, winner of multiple Emmys and an Oscar. She once said (paraphrasing) that she was teased for her name - Clorox Bleachman (who actually exists - a drag queen of course).

RIP, Cloris. You were a class act.

Hogarth's teacher in The Iron Giant (just a one-liner, but immediately recognizable)

One of the nursing home ladies in Miyazaki's Ponyo (English dub, of course, with Betty White and Lily Tomlin).

And of course, Charlotte's Rae's replacement on Fact of Life.
