Originally posted in this thread, just a little something I dashed out for IMWAN. Figured it was a nice way to get me started in this new section.

Removed. It will return with a link in the weeks ahead.

I really liked that when I first read it. It's still cool now.

What the Pope said. You've got your hands around it, Eric. Serious chops.

That's incredibly well done. You've got the style nailed, great characterization, brilliant little details (the scar above Ted's eye, the bar), and some truly funny lines. Well done.

I've been avoiding stickying stories. Don't want to play favorites. It's a great story, though.

That's a fair point. Sorry to put you on the spot. I retract the question.

No problem. It's something I considered, maybe a weekly sticky of different stories, but I couldn't figure out a fair way to do it. And there's no need to apologize for suggestions. Those are always welcome.

Eric can fucking write. Not everyone can. But Eric can.

And yes, I'm up late. Can I help you?

Y'know what? I think Sisko's suggestion for stickying is ok, as long as you remember to unsticky after a week or so. You don't have SO many stories going up that they would overload it, and I think stickying a story that people request would be cool.

Although, most of the good ones stay on the front page for a few days anyway.
