Description
Deluxe limited edition 13 CD box set chronicling the evolution of Porcupine Tree, bringing together all of the band's recordings issued by the Delerium label between 1992-97. The period is documented visually though a 140-page book with rare photographs and other archive material, plus biographical liner notes by Stephen Humphries (adapted from his sleeve notes for the Delerium Years vinyl box sets), and replicas of the full width original artwork for Signify and an October 1995 tour poster. The 13 CDs - packaged in digi-sleeves - are presented in a heavyweight lift-off lid box designed by long-term collaborator Carl Glover. Including the 5 full length albums officially released on Delerium in their most recently remastered form: On the Sunday of Life... , Up the Downstair, The Sky Moves Sideways (2CD - also includes Stars Die EP), Signify, Coma Divine - live (2CD). Plus, Voyage 34: The Complete Trip - with the original full-length version of Phase IV, Staircase Infinities - mini album (newly remastered), Metanoia - studio improvisations recorded 1995-96 (newly remastered), Plus 2 releases originally created for subscribers to the PT information service Transmission, both newly remastered for this set: Transmission IV - all 40 minutes of an unedited Moonloop, Insignificance - a selection of Signify demos, including tracks not recorded for the final album. Finally a newly compiled and mastered 9 track disc called The Sound of No One Listening rounds up stray single and compilation tracks, including 2 demo versions of the song Disappear which were previously only available on a bonus 7 inch with the first vinyl edition of Coma Divine. This is tempting as I only have "On The Sunday of Life..." and "Signify" from their early years. I should play the stuff I have again to see if I really want it. I've had a stack of Porcupine Tree/Steven Wilson/No-Man CDs beside my stereo for about a year because I keep trying to get into them, but I just don't find the music interesting.

I already own the majority of the box contents so I would have to sell at a loss to consider it. The $300 price seems a wee bit excessive, makes the decision easy.

I buy all things Porcupine Tree and this will be the first of many expensive Christmas season purchases. Could not live without it. Early PT of course is like early Pink Floyd, very experimental and trippy.

Amazon.uk is asking for 326 GBP now for this set.

I hope people are shopping around on this one because it's really easy to find it at a much, much, much better price.

PT fans will not be duped. That has to be a mistake.

I was hoping to find it for under $200, but that seems to be out of the question.

It is pricey but since I am a major PT fan, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself I didn’t get it. Kinda like the Gentle Giant box, also expensive but oh so worth it. And you know it’s value will only go up.

Still no listing on Amazon.ca, this could be a tough one to get up here. I am assuming it has never been listed, can any Canadians confirm that it has not been offered to us?

John is right on with his comment that the prices will only rise once it goes OOP.

Especially with the new shipping rates people are charging to Canada (way higher than Europe to USA). I am hoping for Amazo.ca and Prime but things don't look too rosy.

I haven't seen the listing on Amazon Canada go live at any time.

I am not too optimistic either.

Thanks for the reply Jason, the set probably won't sell out quick so I will wait and see for now.

It is in the house, just delivered by DHL, largely unscathed just a small indent. It came in very sturdy packaging but that’s a rough trip from the UK to LI. Thanks Burning Shed!
