He's 95 years old and was still appearing at cons as recently as 2005:

His last work for DC was on some Superboy stories in the early Silver Age. To give you some idea of just how far back this gentleman goes in comic industry history, Mr Flessel was the cover artist for Detective Comics before the Batman stories began!

Wow! I didn't know there was anybody still alive who was around comic books in the very beginning.
