It really annoys me that Amazon won't let you put pre-orders in your cart now. Tell me if I'm wrong, or if I'm missing something. I wanted to put this in my cart, then decide if I wanted to pre-order it next time I place an order, or save it for later. I've done that a lot. The only options I can see are to pre-order NOW or put it on a wish list. I'm not ready to pre-order, but if it's in my cart, I won't forget it altogether.

Can you click on pre-order, then go to your cart and mark it "save for later"? I haven't tried that, so I don't know if it works.
ETA: I couldn't stand the suspense. You can do this. When it takes you to the checkout page, click the back button (or go back to the home page), then click on your cart. The "save for later" option is there.
EATA: And I'm an idiot. I added this CD to my cart to test it. Came back here to update. Went back to delete it from my cart and...found the Devin Townsend CD/BD that I just did this exact process with.

Thanks Atlantig, that worked. It's counter-intuitive, because when I click on pre-order in the listing, the checkout page it takes me to doesn't include the other items in my cart, just this item, so I didn't think it was in my cart (and maybe it's not at that point). WHY did they have to make it harder?
