This arrived at my place today. Ordered it despite the second disc being completely wasted IMO. First disc can't be recognized by my iTunes and second disc (the live stuff) has between-track gaps during playback! Glad I have the original issues. Sorry I bought this. And the Some Friendly, Telling Stories, and Us And Us Only re-issues were so well done, too. Days of yore, I guess...

sent an email about this to Matador Store <store@matadorrecords.com>. They quickly replied. "I just discussed this with the production department and he informed me that Amazon apparently didn't acknowledge the recall we requested for the original defective version of the CD. I have some of the updated CDs en route to our NYC warehouse right now, but I don't expect them to arrive until next week. Once they arrive, I will get your copy in the mail."
So, if you ordered this via Amazon, make sure you listen to it when it arrives. Matador will replace it, if needed.

Seth- thanks for the heads up. I have the same issue with Disc 2 (and assume Disc 1, but not as obvious as I have not tried iTunes (or any other app for ripping). I sent off an email to Matador (thanks for providing the email address).

Matador provided me a tracking number for the replacement discs,.

received mine too. New discs worked perfectly. Odd bit: the first, faulty, copy of the album disc could not be recognized by my iTunes; the second, "corrected", copy loaded into iTunes just fine... While I buy CDs to play on my home system, I buy remasters specifically to get filling for my iTunes. I can always turn up an old CD at home, but my iPod is generally on shuffle. Thus consistent mastering volume over tracks originally released at widely divergent mastering volumes is critical. If you want these albums in a modern mastering, buy this set. Since I have the original releases of the two albums in this release, getting an un-iTunesable disc was quite the bitter pill. Nicely corrected by Matador customer service, though.
