Description
A confessional, cautionary, and occasionally humorous tale of Robbie Robertson's young life and the creation of one of the most enduring groups in the history music, The Band. The film is a moving story of Robertson's personal journey, overcoming adversity and finding camaraderie alongside the four other men who would become his brothers in music, together making their mark on music history. Produced by Martin Scorsese, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer.

Trying to get this from Netflix and striking out so far. Can't wait to hear it on my stereo.

I was immensely dissatisfied with this and seeing the reviews on Amazon I’m not the only one.

It’s a lot of rehash and 40 minutes into the film, they’re still on Big Pink.

Most of the albums are completely ignored and Robbie is telling this his way all along.

I’m still waiting for the definitive documentary on this wonderful, but dysfunctional group.

This wasn’t it for me.

I have to agree with you. Still enjoyed it but there were many gaps and it went from 1968 to 1974 very quickly which I felt was strange.

Really enjoyed the program especially the Woodstock years. There is magic up in those mountains which I got to experience last Summer at Aristocamp in Big Indian NY which is a few miles west of the town of Woodstock.

Shame that drugs and disagreements destroyed such a talented band but we have the music forever. It may not be the best documentary ever but it was a pleasure to watch and I will watch it again on Hulu one evening once agin.
