Description
Three Crickets albums for Philips, Vertigo and Mercury, dating from 1973 and 1974. 'Bubblegum' still had Sonny Curtis, Jerry Allison and Glen D. Hardin along with ex-Family bassist Rick Grech. 'Remnants' was only released in the US, Canada and Holland. 'A Long Way From Lubbock' featured guitarist Albert Lee. The Crickets, after a long and illustrious career, finally called it a day in 2016. Digitally remastered, slipcased and with new notes.

As a Buddy Holly fan since age 12, I naturally got into the Crickets stuff recorded after his death...the 60s stuff, that is. I remember hearing about these LPs years ago but I forgot they existed. I'm definitely looking forward to hearing these and you know with Sonny Curtis, Glen D. Hardin and Jerry Allison involved, the musicianship will be first class.

The U.S. link still has 10/16 as the release date, plus it's @ $5 cheaper than Amazon U.K. I'd rather wait and pay less, which ncludes the import fee Amazon always attaches.

The dates are getting closer together anyway -- now the UK is showing as August 28th.
