The word "legend" is thrown around a lot, but this is a case where...in the world of comedy, at least...it's an understatement. I was too young for The Dick Van Dyke Show, unfortunately, but I grew up listening to the "2000 Year Old Man" and Steve Martin's "The Jerk," which Reiner directed, was huge for me at 13 years old. I don't always play albums in tribute to favorite artists when they die but I played the first two discs of this 3-record set this morning. Comedic genius in those grooves.

I was too young for the Dick Van Dyke Show as well, but I saw it on cable growing up and became an acolyte. The classiest sitcom of all time. An amazing combination of talents.
