Today is 10 days since I ordered the Frontiers Blue Oyster Cult Heaven Forbid cd. I ordered it from the Amazon Global Store thru Amazon. It still has not shipped. Is the amazon Global Store Amazon UK ? Has anyone else waited this long for an item to ship from them. I’m gonna try to get in touch with then to see what the delay is.

"Amazon Global Store" is based in the UK. Anything mailed from the UK to other countries is currently subject to delayed shipments and late arrivals because of the COVID-19 situation. Some items arrive in a timely fashion, but many don't (and a lot of items are still not even orderable from the UK at all).

When I originally ordered it , it listed the delivery date as June 16 -21. It was being shipped with Global Priority Mail so I figured it would arrive within that time frame. Two days later the date changed to arriving by July 14th. I can understand delays once an item is shipped and in the hands of the hands of the postal service. But imo waiting a week and a half (so far) for it to be put in an envelope and shipped is just terrible customer service. I just chatted with them and was told that they are sorry and I just have to wait.

For perspective: I ordered a CD from CDJapan in late March. It was packaged and ready for shipment on March 31. It then sat somewhere for two full months waiting to be put on an international flight. It finally left Tokyo on May 30. It still has not been delivered to me.

I ordered one of the David Bowie box sets from Amazon on June 23. There was probably some fine print stating it was being delivered from the UK; I don't know. What annoyed me is that it rang up with something like $17 for shipping, and a delivery date of July 29th. Flash forward 2 1/2 weeks, and the set still hasn't shipped.

What irritates me is that next month Amazon wants me to renew Prime--at full price. Setting aside the fact that Amazon's system is such that it is impossible for me to prevent Amazon from its current practice of delivering my increasingly infrequent orders to the wrong house, I'm wondering if Amazon Prime isn't just going to simply become a rather overpriced streaming TV channel and forget about their whole delivery promise--when was the last time they tried to hype drone delivery technology?
