It is a four track, 45rpm effort and was recorded and mixed at Stone Studio in Roosendaal, Netherlands, in two days in September 1982. The album was produced and mixed by Jac Hustinx and engineered by Willem Steetjes.

It was the first album released by Roadrunner Records. This was also the first Mercyful Fate effort to get an official release in the United States.

Don't Break the Oath is the second studio album by Danish heavy metal band Mercyful Fate, originally released in 1984. The style Mercyful Fate employed on Don't Break the Oath resembled a mixture of heavy metal with progressive elements, lyrically preoccupied with Satan and the occult and distinguished by King Diamond's theatrical falsetto vocals. Although very influential to future black metal bands due to it's lyrical content, the music itself is more reminiscent of traditional heavy metal.

Nuns Have No fun is listed as Currently unavailable.

Me wonders if it was scrapped as it's going to be on the In The Beginning release.

I ordered "Nuns..." and "Melissa" from Amazon.ca and they are showing both titles as unavailable. I hope they aren't cancelled, at least I haven't received notice from Amazon to that effect. With any luck they are just delayed.

Some of the King Diamond releases were unavailable as well.

I do know these have been selling very well, so perhaps they didn't have enough in stock.

I hope the Nuns EP wasn't a limited pressing.

I got my copies of Melissa and Oath the other day. I have yet to listen to them so I can't comment on the sound.

I may just cancel the Nuns order and go with In The Beginning.

I’m on the King Diamond Page on FB and many fans haven’t received their CDs yet.

One of the guys said a rep at Amazon confirmed they took more orders than they had product and underestimated how many orders came in.

So, that’s why there are delays right now.

Pretty cool there was such a demand and pretty frustrating you can’t get them all right now, big there’s much bigger things going on so I can wait.

That's why if it's a must-have, I pre-order right away. I'm assuming it's first come, first-serve in that regard. I'm thinking that's why I got my other two MF discs right away. But then again, it doesn't explain why Nuns was unavailable.

That's okay. I cancelled my Nuns order and pre-ordered Beginning.

I'm keeping my order. I would like to have the "Nuns..." EP in it's original track listing, with the cheesy cover and everything. It won't be the end of the world if I don't get it, but it won't bother me to wait to see if I do. I think it will get here eventually.

I just got a notice from Amazon.ca that I should get "Melissa" next Sunday, June 14. Of course, we don't have Sunday delivery here except during Christmas rush. But I am patient. The 15th is fine!
All the Mercyful Fate reissues are now only available through third party sellers- not orderable from Amazon.ca. I have noticed that trend over the last six months or so, Amazon only seems to want to sell top 40 artists.

Sorry, I forgot to say Amazon.ca- I am in Canada. Though lately most of my CD orders seem to ship from US warehouses. I think they don't seem to put much effort into their Canadian site.

You'll enjoy them. Everyone else, if you're on the fence, you better get these now before they go OOP.

Crappily, I have hospital bills and we just had a one ton sycamore tree fall through our house this week during a frightening storm, so I think I’ll probably miss out on these.

My order of both "Nuns..." and "Melissa" from Amazon.ca shipped this morning. I am glad I was patient. Looking forward to getting these.

Received my order today. Really nice presentation on these, with the high gloss, thick cardboard tip-on sleeves, and black vinyl look CDs. I would think any fan of the band would love them.

Got Vampire today. Beginning is coming tomorrow.
