I am hoping this is in the right forum. I need some advice from you people who are far more tablet literate than I.
I decided with the lack of new comic shipments this week that I would try digital. One of my current favorite creators, Chip Zdarsky, offered a free download of his latest creator-owned title, Afterlift, on Comixology yesterday. So I created an account, and after much trial and error managed to get the "book" in my account. If I open it on my PC I just click on the cover and it opens and I can read it. But I was hoping to read it on my Amazon Fire for portability. If I use my browser on the tablet I can log into Comixology's "My Books" section and see the icon for Afterlist, which shows as "In Progress" since I have already read some of it on my PC. But if I click on that icon, it just opens the three page preview and wants me to pay for the book. Am I doing this all wrong? Do I need to download an app? This is why I had stuck with print books all this time!
Any help appreciated!
Thanks.

Jason,

At IMWAN, there's no such thing as the right forum. :)

If the comiXology app isn't already on your Fire (mine had it preloaded), you can get the Canada download from here:

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B005VVSQU4/?tag=imwanca-20

In the USA it can be downloaded from here:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005VVSQU4/?tag=imwan-20

Note that all digital comics and collections that you purchase from Amazon's Kindle department will also be readable via comiXology on your Fire.

The original Kree/Skrull War is free in the Marvel section right now.

Actually, this will be good for the weekend blurb.

Thanks for the tip. The Comixology app was not pre-loaded on my Fire, so once I downloaded it and then figured out how to download the book to the app,(which took me about 12 hours since I had to walk away several times in frustration- I am a Luddite- and I don't find tablets intuitive.) I am still figuring some features out, but I think I can at least read a comic on the thing now.
