It's just plain weird seeing Muppets with feet.

Sure, everybody says they were there for the musicianship, but we all know the guys just wanted to ogle Janis.

No surprise to anybody I suppose that left-handed bassist Sgt. Floyd Pepper was my fave.

And poor Zoot could never get that last note right...



When I was a kid, I thought Janice was hot. Is that wrong?

Yeah. I remember him always blowing that note and then peering into his sax.

For some reason, that usually did make me laugh!

Beyond the issue of who carried the band (I think it was at its best when Dr. Teeth moved to organ and Rolf sat in on piano), let's just all agree that "Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem" is about as cool as band names can get.

When I was in college, and me and the boys were trying to decide on a name for our frat house playing cover band, I actually suggested "Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem". The other guys looked at me like a fiddler crab just crawled out of my ear.

Oh, and Rowlf is to the Electric Mayhem, as Phil Collins is to Genesis.

Attempts at a reunion are foiled by the obvious estrangement of Dr. Teeth and Animal. "That hairy S.O.B. stole all my thunder", an obviously drunk Dr. Teeth was reported to say.

This seems like an ideal opportunity to state that "Keep Fishin'" is by far superior to Weezer's better-known video for "Buddy Holly."

I was always a Floyd man, myself.

I vote for Rowlf (though I'm not sure he's a regular in the band).

Teeth was always my fave, I want that shirt! almost as much as I wanted the Doctor Pooh shirt I bought a year or so ago.

This was always one of my faves a muppets album I bought, I may still have it on my MP3 player.

It's hard to pick a favorite Muppet, but if I had to, I would pick Dr. Teeth. One of my favorite scenes in Muppet-dom, and Dr. Teeth has all the best lines:
