I loved Electra Woman & Dyna Girl, H.R. Puffnstuff and Sigmund & the Sea Monsters as a kid, but LOTL was head and shoulders above the others in my opinion.

Land of the Lost. I've never even heard of any of the other ones, except HR Pufnstuf, and I've never seen that. But even if I had, it would still be Land of the Lost, because Dinosaurs.
The other stuff these guys made was more like a live-action cartoon.
LOTL was a serious attempt to do all-ages science fiction. A bit like Dr. Who was when I was a kid. I don't know who's watching the current ones, but Dr. Who was presented as a kid's show when I was little. So was LOTL but they were both intelligently written kid's shows, I guess.

I loved the Pylons and time travel - and they couldn't come in without the same going out, even if was them - just later. And not ancestors but descendants. Cool stuff.

A few years ago I attended the LOTL panel at LosCon, "Los Angeles's Oldest Science Fiction Convention." Will and Holly were there, as were a couple of the writers, including Walter Koenig, as well as the guy who played Chaka. No Bill Laimbeer stories, unfortunately, except for mentioning the fact he played a Sleestack. At one point Will described the show as "sci-fi" and like ten people in the audience shouted to correct him: "Science fiction!"

I think I saw only the first season of The Kroft Supershow. I never paid any attention to the live band: Kaptain Kool and the Kongs, but I did watch and enjoy Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, and I occasionally watched Dr. Shrinker.
Before that I saw some episodes of H.R. Pufnstuf, but mainly I just watched the opening song/titles for the show. The same was true of the Bugaloos. I enjoyed the opening credits then turned to something else, like Loony Toons reruns. On Sundays, I did see an episode or three of Sigmund and the Sea Munsters. I don’t think I ever saw a complete episode of Lidsville or the Lost Saucer.
Land of the Lost was probably the best show, but Electra Woman is likely the only one I would watch again. Australia has a Region 0 set of 17 DVDs for $40 featuring complete runs of H.R., Land of the Lost, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, and Sigmund and the Sea Monster. I only want the one EW&DG disc.
Mind blowing I have no connection to ANY of those other shows, which I presume were on around the same time in the mid-70s? I wasn't very old, but I still never forgot or missed LOTL. Yet zero recollection of the rest.
Also, it never struck me how creepy it is that the McDonaldland characters have tasty food for heads. Food which the other characters are eating regularly.
I think it was the setting and the overall look (as the article states) that caused McDonald's to look like they'd plagiarised H.R. Puffnstuf. The idea of inanimate things (like hamburgers) being alive just as the furniture and stuff in the Krofft show was, etc. There were differences but the similarities in terms of the overall look and other details were what made the difference.
The fact that clinches it is that McDonald's approached the Krofft brothers about an advertising deal. I think, without that, it would've been a harder case to make. McDonlad's left themselves wide open with that one.

I'm sure I watched The Land of the Lost, but for the life of me, I can't remember much about it other than being afraid of the Sleestax.
Sigmund and The Sea Monsters on the other hand, I distinctly remember watching.
My memories of both are pretty vague. But I watched "Land of the Lost" on DVD a couple of years back (And reviewed it here!), and it held up well. Simon's assessment above is right on target.
I don't think I'd have the heart to watch Sigmund again, based on what little I do recall.
Never saw Electra-Woman when I was growing up. Wish now I did.
