Great news. I have the original 1985 LP, but looking forward to having the remastered CD version.

This (and the other albums from last year's box) have been announced as vinyl-only so far, no CDs. I've moved the thread to Collector's Corner because it's not yet certain that they'll even be general releases.

just a small warning, and it may not even need be said, but...........

steven van zandt kind of pulled a fast one when his label (wicked cool) re-issued the richard and the young lions material.

they put out the first CD without telling anyone that all the songs (except for 2) were re-makes and that the re-makes included their biggest hit 'open up the door'. the 2 originals did included 'nasty', their second minor hit, but no where to found was the original 'open up your door'. and when i say 'without telling anyone' i mean exactly that. not until reviews started coming in, after people bought the CD, did we find out the songs were re-made.

well, he then proceeded to put out a second CD, 'volume 2' again with 8 re-makes and a couple new originals and NOW this 'volume 2' included the original 'open up your door".

so to get 4 original richard and the young lions songs (including their only 2 charting singles) you need to buy both CD's.

and, both of these discs could easily fit on one CD.

shame on you miami steve, shame on you.

so be forewarned on this "sun city' CD. it has never been released on CD for a reason ( or many reasons) , watch for re-makes.....its been done by these people before.
