for all the michael stanley fans here, he sings 3 songs on the movie soundtrack 'fast company'.

supposedly it is limited to 1000 copies CD (yes we know all about those limited editions).

the songs he sings are all well done.

nothing about it on stanley's website at all.

no songs from it on any stanley best of's either.

Take a look at the Dragon's Domain web page, looks like a real "reputable" outfit so it no shock it is not on his web page. I think I will get his new CD instead on Line Level to make sure he is getting his slice of the pie.

The new CD is Stolen Time if anyone is interested. His last few albums have been great.

you are very correct, every single michael stanley is a 7 out of 10 or better. and his last 5 or 6 have been 9 out of 10, in both songwriting and playing.

in a perfect world he would be right up there with seger, mellencamp, springsteen and all the other mid-western rockers.

the odd thing about this 'fast company' thing is that i have followed stanley's career from the beginning, i had 'rosewood bitters' (his first album) before anyone even knew of him. i even a copy of 'silk' on vinyl, and i never ever once even heard about him singing the 3 songs on this soundtrack.

you would think, that back in '79, WMMS would have played something from it, or at least somewhere in cleveland they would have mentioned it.
