I get annoyed when you buy a Bluray supposed best ever edition and a few years later another box comes out with even more unreleased stuff. Brilliant show, I continue to love it. I will be probably get it

If I recall correctly, some of the audio on my A&E Python DVDs was muted for things like Chapman's favorite hobbies: "masturbation and strangling small animals."
I think they muted "masturbation" but they were just fine with the strangling part.

In addition to the visual upgrade, the bonus features appear to include restorations of every scene that was edited for syndication (or to address the complaints of professional protestors), as well as every deleted bit that I was aware of, except for one ... but the "Mr Neutron" episode does say "reinstated content" which hopefully means it will be in there.
When ABC butchered the six episodes of Season 4 for broadcast in the USA, they removed so much that what was left needed to be expanded with cutting room floor stuff. In "Mr Neutron", ABC included a scene with the Prime Minister listening to himself practising speeches on a portable cassette recorder. That part was edited out of the original UK broadcast by the Pythons themselves and has never appeared in subsequent "unedited" airings anywhere. I hope it's in this version.

I got my copy of this last week. It looks every bit as good as the picture above. One thing not mentioned - there’s also a small booklet that lists the episodes on each disc, and also lists alterations to the episodes. For Mr. Neutron, it lists...

I have not watched any of this yet, but I’m looking forward to it very much. I ended up staying up until 4 AM watching the end of an edited “Life Of Brian” on BBC America last night, so clearly I’m not well.

FWIW I saw a copy of this in the wild while music shopping last week... it is a very impressive package. I can't imagine any serious Python fan wouldn't want to own it.

FYI, these will be available in individual series 1, 2, 3, & 4, in standard Blu-ray and DVD editions. Check your regions. Series 1 is already out, the others will be released: 1-27-20, 3-30-20, 5-25-20.
Series 1 at Amazon UK is priced at £19.99 for BD, £14.99 for DVD. Check your regions. It might be way less expensive to go this route.
Not so much so at Amazon US. Series 1 BD is going for $41.99, and I can't find this new DVD version...

There are complaints online about this packaging being flimsy, so maybe I'm better off waiting for the individual seasons. I'm just looking to update my old DVD sets, so I can wait.
