Mrs Sealey suggested that we point people to the solo material as well ...

Guitarist Andy Bennett has his own band which he does concurrently with his work in Ocean Colour Scene, they're called The Elements:

http://www.theelements.co.uk

You can hear some of their material here:

http://www.myspace.com/elementsuk

(The Elements actually have been around since the Britpop era, they used to be called Sargent and I remember them touring with Paul Weller back in the day. So they have a proud pedigree.)

And this is bassist Dan Sealey's solo site:

The album is out on import now (no sign of a domestic release, OCS put it out on their own label), and it's terrific. Very upbeat, rocking, Beatle-esque. Not especially folky as their recent albums had been. If you prefer OCS' earlier material you might really dig this album:

Image

>> Ocean Colour Scene release their brand new studio album "On The Leyline" Brimming over with needle-sharp rockers (the XTC-esque title track) and joyous Everly Brothers inspired romps ('Two Lovers'), 'On The Leyline' sees OCS breaking free of their comfort zone at every turn. If first single 'I Told You So' is a jangle-pop classic in the spirit of 'You Got It Bad', 'On The Leyline' boasts an experimental side too. The caustic 'Mr Brown' ("You promised us the earth/So you could let us down") set to a jaunty calypso, whilst the sublime 'These Days' sees Steve supply lead vocals on a psychedelic excursion reminiscent of Buffalo Springfirled's 'Everydays'. Wellerologists, meanwhile, will be ecstatic at the inclusion of 'For Dancers Only', a song the Modfather recorded in 2006 and as yet unreleased. <<

this went on my "want" list a few weeks ago. It's a shame a) that OCS has been so ill- received in the U.S. that this is unlikely to see domestic release and b) that the Sealey stuff is only available by download. I have to have the shiny CD in my paws to feel it's real...

And here's a YouTubed version of the video for "I Told You So":
