Another beautifully packaged set that collectors will covet but never actually play.
I still say a single-CD comp of the fan club Xmas messages would be a perennial best seller, and I've only been asking for three decades, so why should anyone listen to me?

If you're not nice
Anything Beatles will be a big seller. Larry and I are on the same page because I want a CD version of this, which I would buy in a heartbeat. It's a beautiful package, just the wrong format (for me). You vinyl guys should put this box front and centre under your Christmas trees.

Well, I'm both a Beatles collector and vinyl guy, and I put my order in. The fact that I already have all these singles on original pressings, and probably about half of them with the same foreign picture sleeves / labels as on the box, did not stop me (though the price and my space constraints almost did).
I have tons of CDs and LPs, but 7" records have been my main collecting interest in recent years, with foreign Beatles pressings being on the top of the list, so how could I not get this? I certainly never regretted getting the 4 vinyl 45 boxes of The Who.

A CD version of this would be more enticing for me. I've considered getting that Kiss singles set, but the price has always made me a little leery. I've also gone back and forth on it because of the extra stuff - I haven't checked to see if it's the same between the vinyl and CD versions.
How are those Who boxes? A store near me has had some of them at a clearance price and I've thought about jumping.

I haven't owned a turntable since college, and that was over 30 years ago.

Many years, and maybe about eight or nine residences ago, I owned both the Beatles' CD singles and EP boxes, but was forced to sell both back in 1996 following a particularly destructive relationship.
Anyway, I'm willing to bet that while the original 22-disc CD singles box was the first of its kind, ever, other bands have long since created better singles boxes--even the Beatles' own EP box improved upon the packaging/presentation of the singles box.
I'm a freak for CD singles. These sets are intended as an extravagance--superfluous by design. But the existing boxes underwhelm, and I've never been motivated to replace either one. It nags me to not own any Beatles EP's beyond the mid-90's "Free As A Bird", "Real Love" and "Baby, It's You" discs, but I know the Apple organization can do better. (And yes, I acknowledge that if I hadn't been forced to sell the boxes I used to own, I might be more willing to defend the original sets.)
Speaking of...where is "Baby, It's You" in this box? For that matter--on the 1995 7" single, the flip side of "Free As A Bird" was "Christmas Time (Is Here Again)", and "Real Love" was issued on vinyl with the live version of "Baby's In Black" on the b-side. I know it's pedantic, but come on...

I don't think it's pedantic. You have a point- those tracks should definitely be included. It's not called The Beatles "The Singles Collection but only of stuff that came out during the band's active years and also the two tracks done for the Anthology". Now, I'm pedantic!

Also not included is the "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band/With a Little Help From My Friends" single 45 with "A Day in the Life" on the B-side, issued in 1978 in a yellow picture sleeve with the Sgt. Pepper's album cover on the front. I bought one when it came out.

I love vinyl but I am too old to be getting up and down every 3 minutes. But if I had a jukebox......
