I thought I saw that happen this last January for Michael. He was the only Python who has been knighted, although Cleese was offered knighthood earlier but he declined, thinking it was "silly." Congrats to Palin, though. I suspect that Terry Jones would have liked to have been knighted. He was big into those crusade and historical literature stuff.

His knighthood was announced in the New Year Honours list, but the actual ceremony didn't take place until last month.

This proves one can become upper class without becoming a twit.

Manuel (Andrew Sachs) had a UK hit single in 1981 with a cover of Joe Dolce's "Shaddap You Face":VIDEO

That's excellent - I'd never heard it before.

This morning I was on a conference call at work and the organizer kept saying that since his part was over we should "release Brian". I couldn't help it and said "welease Wodewick"!
Unfortunately I was the only non-Asian or Eastern European on the call, so it was lost on them and I just seemed like a madman.
Worth it.

R.I.P., Terry. I appreciated all the humor. So... Do we burn him, bury him, or eat him?

I recently rewatched his Eric the Viking, which I think is a wonderful movie. I always dug Mr. Jones.

R.I.P. Terry. You were a gentleman and a scholar. Well, a scholar, anyway. And a damn funny guy.
