>> 2007 release containing over a dozen unreleased tracks recorded in 1990 by Jon Anderson, who is universally known as the vocalist with the legendary Progressive Rock band Yes. Watching The Flags Fly is a collection of songs recorded in 1990, intended for the second Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman & Howe album, some of which went on to become well known, such as 'Take the Water to the Mountain' which appeared on the Yes Union album. These songs have been traded amongst the large and devoted Yes and Jon Anderson fan base under the title 'Dialogue/We Make Believe' in much lower sound quality. The quality of this release has been improved for this release. 15 tracks. Voiceprint. <<1. Hold You In My Arms 2. Take The Water To The Mountain 3. After The Storm 4. Watching The Flags That Fly 5. Touch Me Heaven 6. We Make Believe 7. To The Stars 8. Instrumental 1 9. Is It Love? 10. Axis Of Love 11. Instrumental 2 12. Santa Barbara 13. Tall Buildings 14. Looking For The Words 15. >> 2007 two CD set from Jon Anderson, who is universally known as the vocalist with the legendary Progressive Rock band Yes. In late 1979 Jon Anderson left Yes for a solo career. He recorded the album Song of Seven and subsequently embarked on an extensive tour in support of the album with a large band that went under the name The New Life Band. The Sheffield Concert was a gig from The Song of Seven Tour in the UK 1980. The nine piece line-up provides a generous set list including number of key Yes songs as well as songs from Jon's solo album Song of Seven. These recordings are not taken from bootleg, but rather recently discovered tapes and the overall quality of these tapes is far better than any of the previous tapes of this show that have been traded amongst fans. Disc Two contains bonus tracks which were recorded during the rehearsals for the tour and once again the sound quality has been improved for this release. 38 tracks. Voiceprint. <<Amazon USA: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000OCZ1F8/?tag=imwan-20Amazon UK: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000OCZ1F8/?tag=imwan-21

So are the songs on Watching The Flags That Fly the versions recorded with Bruford, Wakeman & Howe or demos?? I'm guessing demos, as including tracks by the others would require clearances.

Wow-those covers look like they were drawn by a drunken Smurf. I'd be very surprised if Jon had anything to do with these-Voiceprint is a pretty sketchy label.

Just as long as they never reissue his Christmas album, 3 Ships, thereby ruining the value of another of my collector's tiems...

Hate to tell ya, but that had been reissued years ago. Sometimes you see the cd pop up on eBay, as today:

My LP was devalued when that cd was released, too.

Hey James: I was referring to the CD. I bought a copy years ago at Tower. I thought I was spending a lot, but it'd be much more expensive now. I do have the LP sitting on a shelf too.

Yes, we were smart shoppers! Look at how much money we saved and how much our initial investment appreciated. I call it being "proactive" but others call it something less flattering!
