Had a listen, and my overall impression is atmosphere over melody. Mostly sparse electronics. One song with acoustic guitar ("Not True"). "Feels Good" is mostly hip-hop. My favorite is "Used To Want" which is kind of new-waveish R&B and danceable, much like Duran Duran's last couple albums. This is a million miles from her early stuff. I think my favorite she's put out was the Pomplamoose-produced "I Think You Know" EP, for its rich instrumentation and hook-filled tunes. That was 9 years ago.
I'm curious to see where she goes from here. She launched the Kickstarter in January of 2017, promising delivery in 1 year. 2 1/2 years later, she only delivers 6 songs. She'll always have a special place in my heart for those 2007-2010 YouTube videos, but she's moving into areas that may alienate her original fans in a quest to find herself. AND THAT'S OK.
Here I am with her at a 2010 show.
