It makes me sick to see the suckers on ebay who have paid over $100 for some copies of this (it is a great set).

I really have seen some sell for $100+ on ebay........ It's a well kept secret.

I also just checked, it's "Out of stock" on Dead.net. Though if I'd known I would have ordered it there when it came out.

I'm waiting for my Amazon.UK order to arrive. Good to know the Dead Store has it also. I suspect the folks who've been paying $50-$100 for it on webay are eventually going to feel quite foolish!

Have to say that at first hearing I like both discs better than Reckoning (and I like Reckoning quite a bit). The separation of instruments is better on this Warfield release. The vocals are mixed slightly lower but in compensation you can clearly hear each instrumental thread. In contrast Reckoning sounds a little two dimensional. I would recommend it to anyone even if they have Reckoning.

I wonder if this is eventually going to be a regular retail release in the USA?. It's too good to be limited.

Amazon UK's new carrier lost mine & Dead.net is sold out again. You can still get it from an Amazon.uk 3rd party seller, but that's another month & a bit more than I paid originally.

I'm betting on a Mega Box with ALL the Warfield Acoustic/Electric sets followed by another of ALL the Radio City Music Hall Acoustic/Electric sets.

I'd love that (especially in 24 bit as they were so well recorded).

Got to give credit where it's due.................. The Dead cd arrived 2 days late. Amazon.UK refunded the full cost of the cd, gave me a 5 pound credit, & told me to keep it for free!

I also appear to have been wrong; it appears to be limited worldwide (The copy I received has a large Record Store Day Limited Edition sticker on it).

If it arrived only two days late why did you say it was lost? You do realize that intercontinental shipping is not as exact a science as we would all like it to be? Heck, going across town can be touch and go. I always give them an extra week or two when arriving from Europe. And I don't trust that the tracking is accurate as the various shipping entities don't always communicate with each other well.
Two days...? Wow. You definitely SHOULD give them credit. 'Cause they certainly gave it to you!

Because Amazon.UK had a delivery date & full tracking info (new carrier for UK-USA) and AMAZON'S REP TOLD ME IT WAS LOST.

I just received the Atlanta Rhythm Section box today, but the last thing the Asendia tracking number Amazon UK sent me was a scan in Great Britain on May 31st. In light of this and prior experience with Asendia shipments, I suspect these tracking numbers will prove pretty worthless. My practice with Amazon UK has become to wait 3-4 weeks before concluding anything has gone missing in transit. The expected delivery dates seem to be nothing more than a wild ass guess on Amazon’s part when they use Asendia.

As I mentioned above, I wasn't asking for a refund. That was Amazon's idea, as was the 5 pound credit, & a second rep telling to keep it for free when I emailed them to say it had arrived.

Assendia had actually posted an expected delivery date on the Amazon.UK site, which looked very similar to the usually accurate ones in the USA, which is why I was concerned. I also have a BIG package theft problem where I live, so I wanted to make sure I was home, as I didn't know if the final delivery was being made by the usual USPS driver with a key to my mail box, or by another method. Amazon USA is even delivering by USPS where I live on Sundays, & those drivers don't have a key.

My original point was the Amazon.UK cs was miles beyond anything i expected. I wrote them to re-bill my card, & they told me not to worry about it!

My point was to manage expectations going forward by conveying that these Asendia tracking numbers and estimates seem worthless. Great for you regarding the treatment you got from Amazon. Glad you got your disc and the crisis was averted.

Jay, Got ya. What you said would seem to be an accurate point.

A.UK may want to change the presentation of the "tracking" info, it at least gave me the impression that it was accurate (which it wasn't). I will handle it differently the next time. I think my response of a few minutes ago was directed more at Jason's comments of the other day.

Personally this shipping tracking has been iffy, particularly from uk, forever (and some US) I don't really pay too much attention to the true source of product...other than initial review. I have had Amazon state to wait up to 3-5 days after being stated as delivered. And usually if it gets to point of rebuilding etc, the original order shows up. Everyone's mileage varies, but I can't worry about it. And Amazon has consistently been positive customer service in any issue, usually to my advantage, but minimally made whole. I do like the picture on my porch recently deployed.

Back to the release...solid. Would like to see a box set, particularly the acoustic sets, as mentioned previously.

Amazon UK no longer offers tracking numbers when I order from them. Every time I complain they just refund the postage cost. I just want a bloody tracking number
