I wish Hollywood would learn that the best way to do these comic-book adaptations is to change everything, so that the lame funnybook roots are completely disguised.

Based only on this teaser, the production values are Play-Doh and the tone is Tumblr.

I don't know what character the one with the eyepiece is supposed to be.

Maybe they'll come off great when they're in action, but this just looked dumb to me.

The black guy? That's Cyborg.

In the DP? I've missed a lot.

Isn't he kind of redundant with Robotman already there?

I'm going off the info posted at the usual sites. No idea if he's a regular or just used to bring the team together.

They should do the Atomic Knights as an action packed post apocalyptic science fiction drama...where they ride on giant mutated Dalmations and wear suits of armour. It's bound to be at least as good as this looks like it'll be.

If they added Kamandi into the mix - along with all his supporting cast - they'd have something different than anyone else has got. They could even make it kind of campy in an Adam West era Batman kind of way if they liked.

Combine Kamandi, the Atomic Knights and just add a young good looking cast. It might not be the greatest show ever made, but it'd be unique. This Doom Patrol trailer thing makes it look like they're trying too hard.

I'm not sure why it is that DC can't make the most of their intellectual property. They've got so much great stuff but they seem not to know what to do with it. It's disheartening.

So..... anyone gonna watch?

I'm exercising the 7-day free trial at the moment. If I run out of stuff that interests me before the end of the trial, I'll cancel but so far there seems to be a lot of content I'd like to watch or read.

That preview made me want to watch, so mission accomplished.
I may actually watch it some day if they release it on disc.

I’ve heard positive word of mouth, about this series, from people at the comic book store.

It (and the Titans show) really isn't too bad. They've definitely taken the "adult" route though, so there will definitely be some that don't appreciate the small bits of sex/nudity and all the language.

I enjoyed the Titans show and the episode that introduced this DP team. I haven't watched this yet but I plan on it once it's finished (I prefer binging, or I forget what's happening. )

Just watched pilot...its the truth! From what fans of it say each episode is a homerun. This along with Teen Titans and Swamp Thing has veered me towards getting D.C. U. Not to mention members cam read a plethora of comics.
