As part of its continuing series of classic Allan Holdsworth live performances, Manifesto Records is proud to announce the upcoming CD/DVD release of WARSAW SUMMER JAZZ DAYS ’'98. Along with Holdsworth, this amazing performance features Allan playing with his Trio, which also featured the late Dave Carpenter on Bass and Gary Novak on drums. Gary Novak also contributed some very personal liner notes to the package. The performance of WARSAW SUMMER JAZZ DAYS ’'98 was beautifully recorded and filmed and originally aired on Polish Television. The sound quality of both the audio and video is amazing and was digitally re-mastered from the original tapes. In addition to the broadcast performance, the DVD will also contain bonus footage from the performance not broadcast on television. The Warsaw Summer Jazz Days is still one of the most prestigious and heralded jazz festivals in the world and the 1998 performance by the Allan Holdsworth Trio is still talked about today as one of the great moments in the history of the festival.

Was just listening to the boot of this yesterday! Fantastic show and one of my favorite AH ensembles. I'll be having this release. Hope they keep coming out at a good pace. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

This photo was taken this past week at Tower Records Tokyo. Not only do the Japanese still have Tower Records, they love jazz and Allan Holdsworth. You would never see this here, even when Tower Records existed in the US.
