Robert Fripp has been with Steven Wilson once again and has approved Steven's work on the 50th-anniversary remix of In The Court Of The Crimson King. Steven posted this update on his social media outlets...

I've seen a lot of discussion on the Steve Hoffman Forum as well as the Progressive Ears Forum concerning this release. Some have said that Wilson's remixing abilities AND the technology have both improved a lot since the first remix was done ten years ago, but I don't see how it could sound any better than the first remix.

In no particular order: Ok I am in Did they finish all the 40th anniversary releases? Was there "The Power to Believe"? I was intrigued by the soon to be released collectors choice release as well.

I'll get this as I was unimpressed with the 40th anniversary.
They did not do Construkction Of Light or Power To Believe, but I thought I saw a box is coming with those.
I disliked both of those albums an an expensive box mashing it all together is not on my radar,
You might want to search for that info if I'm mistaken.

You are not mistaken, the announcement for the 50th Anniversary releases says this: "May: Heaven and Earth: Multi-disc CD/ DVD-a/Blu-Ray set covering the period from the late 1990s – 2008 – completing the availability of all King Crimson studio albums in 5.1 multi-channel audio." https://www.dgmlive.com/news/King%20Cri ... 50%20years I doubt they will have this out in May. But maybe this year!

VIA SDE: Steven Wilson remixes of In The Court of the Crimson King (again)
King Crimson‘s debut album In The Court of the Crimson King will be reissued for its 50th anniversary this year and 5.1 maestro Steven Wilson has newly remixed it for both surround sound and stereo.
This news has been reported on King Crimson’s official site with a screenshot of a twitter post (with Robert Fripp giving a theatrical ‘thumbs up’) which appears to have been deleted, but the upshot is that Steven says that while he was pleased with his 40th anniversary mix, it was one of his first classic album projects and he was “happy to have the chance to revisit it with the benefit of ten years experience”. He says that the new mix is a “significant improvement” on the 2009 mix and is “more faithful” to the original 1969 mix. Wilson also points out that audiophiles will be pleased that the new mix is 96/24.
There is no hint as yet as to how these new mixes will be delivered. Whether they will form part of a new box or will be issued as some kind of CD/blu-ray package.

Usually SuperDeluxeEditions is a little more informed. The news on how these will be delivered is revealed in the DGM post about the 50th anniversary:

8 track Court is out in hi-res tonight. I don't know if the physical media version will have more songs or not.
Oops, I may need to take that back. While HDT shows it as a new release, it's dated 2014. Your guess is as good as mine.
The Crimson site shows the original Wilson mix as 2009 & 16/44, so I am totally confused. Tonight's "new release" is in 96/24
I think what you found is just part of KC's having their catalogue available on streaming and download sites. The 2014 master is likely the newest remaster available until this fall's box comes out. At any rate, what you found is not the 50th Anniversary Edition- The physical release is supposed to have all 1969 live recordings, the expanded multitrack 1969 recording sessions, as well as a new 5.1 remix (by Steven Wilson) of the album. I'm really looking forward to it.

Because this album is in my top 50 albums of all-time and Steve Wilson and Robert Fripp are very happy with the results is all I need. Look forward to October on this one.
