I feel that the X-Men should stay in their own cinematic universe. There are so many of them, I worry about overcrowding.

But it will be nice to have the FF home where they belong!

With the upcoming Avengers movie I counted at least 24 characters in the movie so go ahead and add the X Men and the Fantatsic Four. :)

Actually, if I recall correctly, Fox didn't own production rights to making Fantastic Four movies,
but instead owned distribution rights. A smaller company, Constantin Films, worked with Fox.
Disney can probably go forward with the same type of licensing deal with Constantin that Fox
used and/or prevent Constantin from distributing any future FF film. Probably wouldn't take much
to buy out Constantin. What's a few more Million to the Mouse?

The main thing for me, aside from the whole media concentration, what about the little guy blah blah blah, is the following:

Can we please get the 21st Century Fox fanfare put back into the Star Wars movie openings?

Maybe we can now get a good FF movie, and a Hulk vs Wolverine movie(Jackman would probably come back for that...)...

Will this mean that Disney will now own Episode IV: A New Hope and can finally have all of the Star Wars films under their Lucasfilm umbrella?

'The Simpsons', 'Avatar', 'Deadpool' Appear on Disney Homepage After Fox Deal Closure

Click for full size

After the Walt Disney Co. closed its $71.3 billion acquisition of large parts of 21st Century Fox a few minutes after midnight east coast time, the company's official website got a makeover and added pictures of iconic Fox properties.

Characters from The Simpsons, Avatar, Deadpool and Atlanta, as well as images of IPL cricket and soccer, were added to the homepage alongside characters from well known Disney properties Frozen, Star Wars, Captain Marvel and Toy Story. The addition of Fox properties reflects the huge breadth and diversity of content now under Disney's banner.

Under the terms of the mega-deal, Disney is adding the Fox film and TV studio, the FX networks, National Geographic, Indian TV giant Star India and Fox's 30 percent stake in streaming service Hulu to its portfolio. Disney has increased its stake in Hulu to 60 percent, with Comcast owning 30 percent, and AT&T's Warner Media 10 percent of the streaming service.

Disney must still sell 22 regional sports networks in the U.S. and its sports networks in Brazil and Mexico as part of regulatory approvals in those markets. In Europe, the company agreed to sell its stakes in such networks as Lifetime and History.

Part of me is a little sour on the idea of Disney basically owning everything cool except Star Trek and the DCU, but I am beyond amped to see how they work the Fantastic Four into the MCU...

AS GOD INTENDED

They should do it vaguely period-piece style, along the lines of the way X-Men First Class created a timeline that was separate, and now it's merged.

The Fantastic Four work better as a space-race feel, a team that hearkens back to an aesthetic that is before the present time. With Reed's science not having all the Shield technology and the Stark technology.

Yeah, but that almost seems too awesome to actually happen -- but fingers crossed. I think someone here or on Facebook suggested that the FF formed in the 60s and then were lost in the Negative Zone until now, not aging in the meantime. That sounds pretty sweet... though similar to what Janet Pym and Captain America already went through in the MCU.

I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I definitely threw that idea out a while ago here. It's too logical (for a comic fan) for me to be alone in it. :)

This. I really want a Fantastic Four 1961 movie, race to the stars against the Commies, etc.

I had an idea that they'd get their powers from the Negative Zone instead of Cosmic Rays as well, but not the idea that they'd be created in the 60s and lost in the Negative Zone until the modern era.

BTW, I really think Alex Ross did a great job of making Jack's rendition of Reed and Sue look like real people.

Seems okay.
Well… I hate the Logo/Title on it, which seems out of place, and the Thing does look a little goofy.
The Ross artwork looked better when teamed-up with the normal FF logo on FF Omnibus #3.
