I'm going to take the plunge and make my Oppo an All-Regions player. Always been a bit hesitant to do this, but I've read a bunch of positive reviews about 220-Electronics that makes me confident enough to go ahead and give it a try. Also appreciate Geff's posting about how he had to send his player back to Oppo, and the firmware modifications that were installed did not cause the people to freak out.
Anybody have a lot of experience with hardware mods? Doesn't just have to be an Oppo.

Not Oppo, but I flashed a DVD player I used to have to become all region several years back. It was very simple. Key thing is to make absolutely certain that you do NOT power it off at any point during the flashing process. If it loses power you will brick the device. So if it seems frozen or something in the middle of it, wait it out.
