Pisco, my parrot, absolutely loves Earth, Wind & Fire, especially the upbeat songs. Nothing gets him dancing like “Boogie Wonderland.” Friends request it so they can watch him; one even gave the bird a mirror ball for his cage two Christmases ago.

I don’t ever recall this subject coming up here, but I am curious whether anyone else has a pet that seems to have a favorite song or artist. If so, please tell us about it.

my dog (long gone now) used to sit right in front of the speaker during pink floyd's 'seamus', she loved the barking dog.

My wife & I leave the smooth jazz station on for our cat, Cori, whenever we have to leave the house for more than a few hours. Not sure if he likes it but it does keep him calm. When I finally set up my media room last year he was freaked out by sounds coming out of the big Klipsch speakers, no matter how low the volume was, but he's more tolerant now. He even sat on the ottoman & napped while I played some of the Pink Floyd "Early Years" box set, so I'll assume he's a Floyd fan.

Our boy Pumpkin has a thing for prog. He was sniffing around Crimson's Islands box, when I realized he was just looking for "Catfood."

My previous basset hound Frad used to go crazy whenever I played Jingle Bells by the barking dogs.

My American Eskimo tends to prefer Classical, and relaxes better with Bach and Handel.
He is not a fan of loud rock music.
