I went to this last Sunday........enjoyed it a lot. Nice pictures and media. The best old film montage is the Nico room in the back of the main floor.
The exhibit really focuses more on the Andy Warhol scene, and the Velvet Underground & Nico album. Barely anything on the Doug Yule years.
It was a great weekend. The night before, I saw The Feelies in Jersey City...........the concert was an unofficial tie-in to the exhibit with them playing an 18 song set of Velvet Underground covers.....(and as a bonus for me - "Dancing Barefoot" in their last encore set).
Then after the exhibit, I saw the Girl From The North Country play based around Bob Dylan songs.......one block over from the VU exhibit at the Public Theater. That was great too. .

the Velvet Underground Experience was a good time yesterday, not too much of a crowd so I was able to breeze around for 2 hours soaking it all in. Great photos and plenty of the 1970's NYC weirdness on display. Those days are long gone.
Had a nice walk through the Village past Washington Square Park to get there from the train. Beautiful day in NYC despite the cold. The only thing missing was Jimbo of course, he would have been with me so it was a bit sad.
I'll post pics when I get the chance.

I'll post pics when I get the chance. Glad to see you still went. Don't miss anything! And Yes, Jimbo would have been right at your side.
