The man is the Man Of Steel for at least a generation of fans. But he was a working actor, with many other roles on his resume,in movies and on TV.So which other of his performances is your favorites?

A true hero (suck it,Byrne).

Bannings: One too few . . .
Other: Somewhere in Time (1980)

And that is a pretty sad lineup for such a talented movie star.

Somewhere in Time is a pretty good book. I should watch the movie.
Thanks, Jay. I'll look for it.

I went with "Noises Off." Very funny movie if you're a theatre dude (like Christopher Reeve).

My wife, a theater major, made me watch this many years ago. It is pretty funny.

That was my thought as well. But mainly because I've seen very few of Reeve's movies.

Wow...outside of his SUPERMAN stuff, I've only seen DEATHTRAP and very little of SOMEWHERE IN TIME. I hadn't realized that.

Never seen another movie with him besides Superman, actually.

Somewhere in Time is legitimately worth checking out. It was released between Superman and Superman II, and represents him at the peak of his Superman-era appeal. It is a somewhat fascinating and entertaining story concept.

His role in the remake of "Rear Window" was remarkable in the way it cast somebody who was genuinely suffering from a severe disability in an appropriate role. From what I recall of seeing it years ago, it was a pretty good remake of a classic movie.

Deathtrap for me. That was a great bit of work.

The Carpenter remake of Village of the Damned with Reeve was alright, but Somewhere in Time is better.

My wife was also a theater major (and was a drama teacher for many years) took me to a live production as our 2nd date. I watched the movie later.

I was more of an unoffical theater minor, and had to go Noises Off... But I made non-theater people watch it, and they have all loved it.
