Janeway took care of the Borg threat. Still, that wouldn't stop them if they wanted to rehash that old enemy.
Maybe he's in danger of taking humanity down the path of cyborgization a little too far, which could be how the Borg got their start.

Memory alpha says he was still captain of the Enterprise-E until he was 74. Steward is currently 78, himself.
Picard would have been 65 at the end of TNG.
But how things unfolded in one timeline, while they should in most cases take strongly similar paths, don't necessary have any bearing on how they will unfold in another timeline. The Enterprise-D, for example, wasn't destroyed, and the Romulan Star didn't go super Nova, either, in the one where he developed full blownIrumodic Syndrome.
