Bannings: 1
1. Lee/Kirby
2. Englehart/S. Buscema
3. Stern/Byrne
Plus, a special mention for Lee & Gene Colan, whose run is often forgotten. Also, John Romita, Sr drew a great Cap after Colan.

Kirby/Lee
Stern/Byrne
Waid/Garney

Due respect to Simon/Kirby;those comics are wonderful fever dreams of the '40s.
A similar thing can be said of Kirby's '70s stories.
Haven't read the Waid/Samnee stuff yet, but I'm sure it's fine.

Who did the Hydra Cap thing? I kid
I'll go with Stern & Byrne, J.M. DeMatteis / Mike Zeck / Paul Neary, and my introduction to Cap comics...Jack Kirby.

Lee/Kirby, Stern/Byrne, and Brubaker/Epting. Probably in reverse order of listing. Bru's run was great. I have the whole thing in Omnibus format.

I have the whole Bru run digitally from when it was a buck a trade. I have to look up the reading order before I dive in, as it's confusing.

That's why I'm glad to have the omnibuses, which have everything in order. I hate having to piece things together. If I ever get around to binding my old Batman runs I'm going to make sure that all the crossovers are in order regardless of actual titles. I keep wanting to reread a lot of it but don't feel like hassling.

Good ol' Jim Stefano... in fact, I think he's even better than Jim Steranko!

And Ron Garner? He puts Ron Garney to shame, every time! :D

I never much bought long runs of Captain America, but I always enjoyed the era of Sal Buscemi covers in
the early 1970s. I've been buying the Cap Omnibus volumes mainly so I could see them all. I also want to
revisit the Frank Robins' era. I know I hated Frank's work on Cap when it first appeared, but I've grown to
like Robbins' work more over the years.
